Eight at Gazegill Celebrates Double Success at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2026

Last week marked a proud milestone in the journey of Eight at Gazegill as we travelled to Bristol for the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2026, representing Lancashire on the national stage.
We are delighted to share that Eight at Gazegill was awarded Silver in the Taste of England category and Gold in the Regenerative Tourism category, making us double national winners amongst some of the finest tourism and hospitality businesses in the country.
The VisitEngland Awards for Excellence celebrate businesses that deliver outstanding visitor experiences, innovation, sustainability and exceptional hospitality. To be recognised nationally in not one, but two categories is an incredible honour and a testament to the dedication of our entire team.
The Taste of England Award recognises businesses that offer exceptional food and drink experiences, champion local produce and create memorable dining experiences for guests. For us, this award reflects our commitment to showcasing the very best of our organic farm, the surrounding countryside and the talented producers we are privileged to work alongside.
The Regenerative Tourism Award celebrates businesses that actively give back more than they take, supporting their environment, communities and local economy. Sustainability has always been at the heart of Eight at Gazegill. From our organic farming practices and renewable energy generation to our farm-to-fork menus and commitment to responsible hospitality, regeneration is woven into everything we do.
These awards follow what has already been a remarkable year for the restaurant, including being awarded a Michelin Green Star earlier this year. To receive national recognition from VisitEngland further reinforces our belief that hospitality can be both exceptional and responsible.
While awards are wonderful, they are only possible because of the people behind them.
